Services

ScreenplayGenius offers the follow services:

  • EDITING: Provides technical editing of screenplay format ONLY. Formatting is essential to a great screenplay. Sluglines, character introductions, parentheticals, voice over, off camera, off scene, action lines, transitions and any other element dealing with the format will be assessed.
  • STORY ANALYSIS w/ EDITING: Provides analysis of character development and arc, story structure, plot lines, scene pacing, dialogue, subtext and themes. This is an indepth look at your story. Anything and everything related to story is covered in this area. In addition, format editing is provided.
  • BRIEF OVERVIEW: Provides a basic summary. I will read your script once through and write one or two paragraphs. Many writers only want me to read and tell them whether it’s good or not. This is for that purpose.
  • PHONE/SKYPE CONSULTATION: This service is in addition to any of the above. Sometimes there will be more questions after receiving my notes. Therefore, for an additional fee, we can communicate over the phone or Skype to answer any and all extra questions.

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1: Email me your name, the title and genre of your screenplay, and your contact information.

Step 2: Send screenplay and payment. I will accept screenplays only by email in WORD, PDF or Final Draft form. Payments are through Paypal only.

Step 3: Once I have read and completed my analysis, I will email back your script as a PDF with my comments and notes. I prefer to work on a screenplay in hard copy form and make hand written notes on the page. It allows me to write any comments at the exact place needed on the script and it allows you, the client, to clearly understand the comments while providing a the personal touch of handwriting. You will know that I personally read your script and not a “reader” or “intern”.
